What is Christmas?

Updated: Dec 18, 2023

"It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace." - Agnes M. Pahro

Here is a sparkly holiday vignette that I created in front of a group of naked jewelry displays featuring lighted branches, fairies, a snow baby and some snow flakes that proudly proclaims a message of peace.

For me Christmas has always been a very special holiday. In my family growing up with nine brothers and sisters we hardly ever got new stuff, except for Christmas and our birthdays.

My mother didn’t wrap anything. Can you imagine wrapping gifts for ten kids? Not to mention the additional expense, clean-up and waste management if it all. She was very savvy about every aspect of managing a large household. No fuss - no muss!

On Christmas morning my brothers, sisters and I would wake up to a lineup of gifts. Each of us had our own individual pile of presents placed in the lineup according to our birth order.

It was great as we knew exactly where to go and could immediately get right down to business with all our new stuff - and we did.

Christmas morning at our house was very chaotic and lots of fun; at least we kids thought so. Mom had the right idea!

As a creative, I enjoy the idea of a beautifully wrapped gift for giving. I love the presentation almost as much as the gift itself. I always take great pride and pleasure in taking the time for extraordinary gift wrapping with my personal exchanges as well as all of the purchases made from my store. It’s a personal choice I make that's in the form of an artful expression and unique experience. It's my signature style; just a little something, something extra special.

I hope you receive your #1 wish beautifully wrapped and waiting for you this year wherever it may find you.

Please accept my heartfelt thanks for being an email subscriber, for buying handmade, and for supporting small business.

Best wishes for a joyous holiday season followed by a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.

With timeless jewelry that’s always in fashion -

Warm regards,

Suzanne
