"I love and in a way need, a private secret place. . ." Morris Graves
What comes to mind when you think about a good old-fashioned jewelry box? Maybe it’s remembering sneaking a peek into your mom’s stash of sparkles or even better, going full in with your grandma’s collection of fabulous costume jewelry.
I didn’t have either of those childhood experiences, but I still find that there's sense of intrigue around an old jewelry box; something captivating about the secrets it may have kept, the stories it could tell, and the people who once treasured what was inside.
For me it spurs a sense of mystery and magic.
Even if you're not much of a jewelry wearer or collector, a beautiful box can still have a significant place in your world. Think of it as a sanctuary for your most sentimental things - letters, cards, photos, coins, keys, your favorite fortune cookie message and/or whatever you may hold close to your heart.
A jewelry box can be a kind of personal legacy that’s worthy of high regard and admiration for the treasures it holds in safekeeping, a blessing for those who may inherit its contents, and the stories and history it takes with it into the future.
Gorgeous on the outside and even more intriguing on the inside, a keepsake box is a beautiful blend of nostalgia and style with an alluring appeal for what it holds inside.
I love all things vintage and as an artist, jewelry designer and maker I am especially attracted to old jewelry boxes. Actually, I’m fascinated with all kinds of vintage and antique boxes.
I am so enamored with these bygone beauties that I’ve curated a collection of vintage boxes for you - each one lovingly rescued, reimagined and artfully embellished by hand.
Now, more than just previously-owned old boxes, they’re one-of-a-kind heirloom-worthy works of art.
Each one is unique, with its own history and charm. Whether you’re 9 or 99, these one-of-a-kind art boxes are made to be used, gifted, appreciated and cherished as they previously were; now again, and for many years to come.
I’m head-over-heels for each and every one of them. I hope you fall in love with them too.
With timeless jewelry that's always in fashion -
Warm regards,
Suzanne
