This bracelet’s journey has been nothing short of amazing!
It started with a bunch of vintage brass baubles. I added vibrant color with green crystal drops (some vintage, some new ), crowded in a few vintage patterned lucite beads, connected everything with bit of vintage chain - and there you go! It was finished; just another bracelet, albeit special because it is jewelry by A Silk Purse, one-of-a-kind, vintage-inspired & handmade.
What I didn’t know then was that it would be chosen in collaboration with a couture designer to appear on the runway at New York Fashion Week last September. It would also subsequently be chosen for a separate photo shoot (I am anxiously awaiting those photos & will share when I get them!).
And now to my surprise it was featured in a gorgeous Instagram story Tuesday by Flying Solo NYC!
This bracelet will continue its journey for now but will hopefully find a permanent home with a special person in a special jewelry box some time soon.
Until then, who knows where & when it will show up again. I can’t wait to find out. It makes me so happy!
