Coming soon is a very unique and special collection of Venetian Glass Bead Jewelry.
I am honored to have the opportunity and privilege to present this collection to you and I am so happy with how each of the designs turned out. I hope you will love them too.
Here's a sneak peek:
The Venetian glass beads you will see in this collection were obtained as part of a vintage lot that my son bid on for me at auction and was fortunate enough to win.
I honestly wasn’t sure what I was getting because the auction was online and the photos were not inclusive of everything in the lot.
When I saw the Venetian glass beads, my heart literally skipped a beat! I had never seen anything like these before and was in awe of their beauty and artistry.
I used every last one I had in this limited one-of-a-kind collection; I just couldn’t help myself.
The glass beads used are blown Murano style, which is only one of several types of Venetian and/or Murano glass beads made by artisan bead makers of city of Venice and the island of Murano, Italy.
Each is individually hand-blown from canes of various colored glass. They are extremely lightweight, surprisingly sturdy and no two are exactly alike.
I am not sure how old these particular beads are, but I believe that they have been around for some time based on the age of some of the other vintage beads found along with them.
I was thrilled however, to find out that Venetian glass beads of every style, color and shape are still being made in the same age-old tradition. I will be able to get them if I wish to expand this collection in the future in case efforts to find more vintage or pre-owned ones are unsuccessful.
I hope you will stay tuned for updates and more photos as I work diligently on making the complete collection available for purchase.
I will be sure to keep you posted. In the meantime, come see What's New.
So many unique and wonderful pieces are available in the store just waiting for you.
If you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you!
With timeless jewelry that’s always in fashion -
Warm regards,
Suzanne
